In 2014, two very attractive and intelligent individuals named Lucy and Dan met at Bangor University Debating Club freshers' week taster session. After years spent without contact, in denial about their deep attraction for one another and inevitable future together, they reunited at London Zoo. Here, they ate chocolate, learned about monitor lizards and decided they'd quite like to carry on eating chocolate and learning about interesting things with each other.
6.5 years, 6ish jobs, 4 trips abroad, 3 homes, 2 nieces, 1.5 masters degrees and 1 brain tumour later, they decided that they'd quite like to make eating and learning about things together a life-long hobby.
They are now getting married on 30th August 2025 in the quiet coastal village of East Portlemouth in South Devon and would love for you to join them to celebrate. Please RSVP using the link above and let us know if you have any questions.
The STORY

Important Information
Getting Here
East Portlemouth is a beautiful, remote destination that can be reached by public transport and car. If you're travelling by train, the nearest station is Totnes, which is approximately 13 miles away. From there, you can take a taxi directly to the venue or a bus to Salcombe, then ferry to East Portlemouth. This is a cheap option and a great adventure but we wouldn't recommend doing this in the rain!
If you're driving, there will be parking available at the Village Hall. Avoid coastal roads via Southpool as you may get stuck by the tide. We hope you have a wonderful trip
Dress code
Groom will be in a kilt. Bride will be in a dress. if you want to go all out, feel free, just make sure to bring shoes you can dance in.
Depending on the final plan for the day, you may also want to bring something comfortable for the beach.
ACCOMMODATION
We want you to have a comfortable stay during our wedding celebration. Here's some recommended accommodation options for you. It is very important you book accommodation if needed ASAP as local accommodation will be booked up extremely early. Please let us know when and where you have booked so we can coordinate potential transport and other activities closer to the time. Avoid staying in Salcombe as this is a pain travel-wise and very expensive.
