In 2014, two highly attractive and unbearably cool individuals named Lucy and Dan met at Bangor University Debating Club freshers' week taster session. After years spent without contact, in denial about their deep attraction for one another and inevitable future together, they reunited at London Zoo. Here, they ate chocolate, learned about monitor lizards and decided they'd quite like to carry on eating chocolate and learning about interesting things with each other.
6.5 years, 6ish jobs, 4 trips abroad, 3 homes, 2 nieces, 1.5 masters degrees and 1 brain tumour later, they decided that they'd quite like to make eating and learning about things together a life-long hobby.
They are now getting married on 30th August 2025 in the quiet coastal village of East Portlemouth in South Devon and are really looking forward to seeing you there.

From there, you can take a taxi directly to the venue (roughly 1 hour) or a bus to Salcombe (1hr 7min), then ferry to East Portlemouth (+45mins and nightmare in the rain).

The bus is private hire but follows the public bus route so will be stopping at official bus stops close by, rather than at specific accommodation. We will add the detail of the exact pick-up points as soon as possible.

Dress code
Groom will be in a kilt. Bride will be in a dress. if you want to go all out, feel free, just make sure to bring shoes you can dance in.

We plan to provide wine, including fizzy wine, lager, cider and soft drinks on the day. If there is a specific drink you enjoy which you don't think will necessarily be there, please do bring it along. Our only ask is that you pace yourself throughout the evening. There will be food put out at intervals throughout the evening.
We welcome any volunteers who would like to help us clean and tidy on Sunday 31st. Food provided. Just let us know. Before the big day, we'll set up a WhatsApp group so you can follow our movements and join us if what we're doing sounds interesting.
